    • Peacefully with his family by his side at Haliburton Hospital on Friday morning, September 23, 2016 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Marie Thompson (nee Cook). Loving father of Fred (Karen) of Sudbury and Doug (Brenda) of Brampton. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Craig (Julie), Melissa (Mike), Andrew (Colleen) and by his great grandchildren Ethan, Ryan and Nathan. Predeceased by his brother Eric and his sister Geraldine. Also lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Nellie, his nieces and nephews. Howard was born and raised in Haliburton County, then moved to Huntsville to work as a lumber grader and then moved back to Haliburton in his retirement years where he frequented the Kozy Korner after Church each Sunday. Graveside Service & Reception Friends are invited to call at ST. PETER'S ANGLICAN CHURCH CEMETERYon Monday morning, October 3, 2016 for a Graveside Service at 11 o'clock. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Haliburton Hospital Auxiliary.
